Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for the Head of On Trade at Jiddler's Tipple! You’ll be the face of our brand in London, nurturing the relationships we have already developed with customers who love our beer and driving new growth. You will be a champion for the brand and will be responsible for growing brand loyalty, market share and ensuring that our customers are looked after. Ultimately, you will have responsibility for building the On Trade function of this fast-growing, award-winning beer business. As the role develops, you will need to build a team around you.

Jiddler’s Tipple is a small, fast-growing business. Consequently, alongside on trade sales, brand activation, sales forecasting, setting and managing sales targets, you’ll also have the opportunity to be involved in lots of other exciting business development opportunities as the role progresses.

A bit about Jiddler’s Tipple

We launched in October 2019 and have since grown rapidly. Based in Turnpike Lane, we make delicious, approachable, inclusive and socially responsible beer. Our award-winning beers are gluten free, vegan, carbon negative, made with 40% solar power and lower-abv (3.8%). They are also wrapped in vintage shirt patterns (so they look as good as they taste!).

Since launching we've won dozens of awards across the range, amassed over 13,000 Instagram followers, sold 500,000 pints, seen 75% YoY growth and launched in Whole Foods, Ocado, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Stonegate. We are looking for the right people to join the journey and help fuel the next phase of growth.

About the Role

Jiddler’s Tipple has seen huge growth over the past 5 years. We have a product that is proven in the marketplace and now need the right person to join and spearhead growth in pubs, bars and restaurants.

We will be expecting the candidate to build and shape the on trade function of Jiddler’s Tipple from the ground up. You will need to lead and take responsibility for account management, business development and the overall sales strategy for the sector. This includes speaking your mind and offering solutions and creative business development ideas.

Responsibilities

  • New Business - Grow on trade sale in London and further afield
  • Account management - Maintain and grow the sales of Jiddler's Tipple beers in existing accounts
  • Achieve and report sales KPIs across sectors including - approaches, revenue, order frequency, burn rate, gross and net margins
  • Being a brand ambassador for Jiddler's Tipple - Build the brand and increase sales by engaging directly with consumers and business owners through training, events, brand activations and samplings
  • Differentiate our brand through innovative support that adds value to our customers
  • Be ready to hire and build a team as the sales function grows

  • Experience in account management or sales roles with a strong track record of success
  • A people person - Excellent relationship/rapport building and interpersonal skills with customers, consumers, internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate effectively face to face, by phone and via emails
  • A leader - someone who inspires others and can management and develop those around them
  • Strong organisational skills - ability to plan and prioritise work and effectively journey plan across an area
  • Flexibility for some evening/weekend work
  • Tech savvy - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and ideally sales or customer relationship management software
